Economics Unit

The economics unit, housed in the Department of Humanities and Social Sciences, offers M.Sc. and PhD in Economics and a minor programme for the B.Tech. students. 

The discipline of Economics is undergoing rapid change all over the world. The domain encompasses a range of techniques from other fields of engineering and technology. The vision of IIT Delhi is also going beyond traditional engineering and technology. The institute makes a greater effort to connect to society and facing societal challenges. We are embedded in IIT and that gives us a unique opportunity to design teaching and research programmes that are exciting for the students and contributes positively to the ongoing transformation of the institute.
